Sale l’attesa per il Rally FIM, il più prestigioso evento turistico internazionale in programma a Chianciano Terme (SI) dal 26 al 28 giugno. Alla manifestazione sono attesi tra gli 800 e i 1000 motociclisti provenienti da ogni parte d’Europa e del Mondo.
La FMI, organizzatrice del Rally per conto della Federazione Internazionale, vuole garantirne la sostenibilità ambientale attraverso una serie di progetti. Il primo appuntamento si è tenuto a Chianciano Terme presso il Parco a Valle, dove 80 tra bambine e bambini di quattro scuole primarie hanno messo a dimore oltre 30 gelsi bianchi per compensare le emissioni di anidride carbonica del Rally FIM. Il tutto è stato possibile grazie alla collaborazione tra la Commissione Turistica e la Commissione Ambiente FMI e al supporto di istituzioni e autorità locali.
Erano presenti il Sindaco di Chianciano Terme, Andrea Marchetti, il Vice Presidente FMI e Coordinatore della Commissione Turistica FMI Rocco Lopardo, la Responsabile dei Rapporti Istituzionali FMI, Francesca Marozza, l’Assessore alla Scuola ed Istruzione del Comune di Chianciano Terme, Laura Ballati, il Tenente Colonnello Alberto Veracini (Comandante del Reparto Carabinieri Biodiversità di Pieve Santo Stefano) e il Vice Questore Aggiunto della Polizia di Stato, Enza De Fusco.
A giugno arriveranno in Toscana motociclisti in rappresentanza di oltre 30 Paesi. Durante il Rally FIM ad ognuna delle Nazioni presenti verrà assegnato un gelso bianco. Questa è la prima di una serie di iniziative che promuoveranno la sostenibilità ambientale. Tra queste, la riduzione dei rifiuti in materiale plastico, la raccolta e donazione delle eccedenze alimentari e la condivisione dell’evento con associazioni e comunità locali. A tutto ciò si aggiunga l’ingente indotto economico che il Rally FIM porterà alla Valdichiana e non solo.

The 77th edition of the FIM Rally is eagerly awaited. The most prestigious international event about mototourism is scheduled in Chianciano Terme (SI) from June 26 to 28. Around 1000 riders from all over Europe and the world are expected.
The Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI), organizer of the Rally on behalf of the International Federation, wants to guarantee its environmental sustainability through some important projects. The first event has been held this morning in Chianciano Terme at the Parco a Valle, where 80 girls and boys from four primary schools planted over 30 white mulberry trees to offset the FIM Rally carbon dioxide emissions. Everything was possible thanks to the collaboration between the FMI Tourist Commission and the FMI Environment Commission and the support of local institutions and authorities.
The event saw the participation of the Mayor of Chianciano Terme, Andrea Marchetti, the FMI Vice President FMI Tourist Commission President Rocco Lopardo, the FMI Institutional Relations Manager, Francesca Marozza, the Councilor for School and Education of Chianciano Terme, Laura Ballati, Lieutenant Colonel Alberto Veracini and the Deputy Chief of Police of the Police, Enza De Fusco.
In June, riders representing over 30 countries will arrive in Tuscany. During the FIM Rally, each tree will be targeted with a nation flag. This is the first of many initiatives that will promote environmental sustainability. These include the reduction of plastic waste, the collection and donation of surplus food and the sharing of the event with local associations and communities.
